Cut Your Club's Energy Bills by Up to 90%. With Little or No Upfront Cost.

Solar panels and battery storage for cricket clubs, rugby clubs and any other community sports clubs across Lancashire and the North West. Funded largely through grants and low-interest loans, so your club's cash stays in the club.

Every pound spent on energy is a pound not spent on the club

Floodlights, clubhouses, bars, kitchens and changing facilities burn through electricity all year, and bills only go one way. For a volunteer committee balancing tight cashflow, rising energy costs mean less money for the pitch, the kit and the facilities. That money should be going into the game, not to the grid.

How it works

Generate your own free electricity

Solar panels on your clubhouse or pavilion roof generate power whenever the sun is up.

Store it for when you need it

A battery holds that power for evenings, cloudy days and match-day peaks.

Cut your bills dramatically

Clubs can reduce energy bills by up to 90%, sometimes to near zero, and even earn income exporting spare power back to the grid.

Most clubs pay little or nothing upfront

Your club doesn't need capital sitting in the bank. Sports clubs can access a range of grants and finance routes:

  • England Cricket Board low-interest loans for cricket clubs

  • Sport England grants

  • Local authority and council grants

  • Specialist leisure and sports finance, from providers backed by Octopus Energy Generation

Most clubs can achieve 80 to 100% external funding, with little or no capital outlay. The system pays for itself from day one through reduced bills, and after payback every pound saved goes straight back into the club.
